Kathleen Blumberg

Kathleen Blumberg brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to Detroit’s nonprofit sector to her role as Finance Director at United Community Housing Coalition (UCHC). A graduate of Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Kathy holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Management, providing a solid foundation for her impressive 30-plus-year career dedicated to strengthening organizations that serve the community.

Throughout her career, Kathy has demonstrated an exceptional ability to provide financial leadership in mission-driven environments. Before joining UCHC, she held key leadership roles, including CFO of the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan and Director of Finance for Girl Scouts of Metro Detroit, where she played a vital role in ensuring financial sustainability. She also served as Comptroller for Cornerstone Education Group and as Senior Director of Business Affairs at Wayne State University’s Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, overseeing complex financial operations.

Kathy's extensive expertise in financial management and her unwavering dedication to the nonprofit sector make her a crucial part of UCHC’s leadership team, helping to ensure the organization’s long-term stability as it continues to advocate for housing justice and equity in Detroit.
